I started my business in 2011 and have continued to learn about business and financial management through my own curiosity, experience, and through the SBDC Scale Up and Profit Mastery programs.

WHO I AM

I like order, and I like things to add up. As a mother of two young kids, it’s hard to have a tidy life. My bookkeeping business helps appease my organized, type-A personality. My husband and I like to paddle on our SUPs and grow food to eat and store away like squirrels—we feel safe having a pantry full of canned garden bounty.

Nicole's journey began in the city of Albany, NY, where she spent her formative years. She pursued her higher education at Hartwick College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

As fate would have it, the universe guided her to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, where she discovered love and a lifelong partner. Nicole resides with her husband and two amazing children in this enchanting city.

With a passion for health and wellness, Nicole began teaching yoga and became the studio manager at Wild Lotus Yoga back in 2006. She enjoyed guiding and nurturing expectant mothers on their beautiful journey to motherhood in her prenatal yoga classes. As a health enthusiast, she has also completed her health coaching certification through IIN (Institute for Integrative Nutrition). Nicole's intention is to connect with people, guide them on their path to better well-being, and make a positive impact on their lives.

But her talents don't stop there; Nicole also excels as a bookkeeper for her husband's lawn and landscape business, showcasing her organizational skills and dedication.

When COVID struck, a dear friend offered her a unique opportunity, opening doors to new horizons. This led Nicole to meet two more exceptional women CPAs, and now, she works with all three, adding another impressive feather to her cap.

Her favorite sport is volleyball, which she played throughout high school and college - she loves both watching and playing the sport, embracing the team spirit and thrill of the game. When she's not balancing books or guiding yogis, Nicole is a devoted parent who actively participates in her kids' school life. She can also be found working out, engrossed in historical fiction, or dreaming about traveling the U.S. in an RV one day!

Julia, the diligent bookkeeper with an affinity for numbers, hails from the vibrant streets of New Orleans. With her passion for keeping financial records in pristine order and unwavering reliability, she has become a go-to number wrangler for small businesses in New Orleans and beyond.

Ever since opening her first checking account as a teenager, Julia displayed an uncanny knack for handling finances. Her passion for organizing and streamlining financial records led her to pursue a career in bookkeeping with her family’s construction company. Armed with her education and a drive to make a difference, Julia embarked on a professional journey, eventually branching out to bookkeeping for multiple clients across many industries.

As an independent bookkeeper, her clients trust her to balance their books with precision and dedication. Her goal is not only to ensure financial accuracy but also to help local businesses thrive, empowering them to make informed decisions that contribute to their economic growth.

Beyond her professional life, Julia's home is a true sanctuary. She resides in a very tall house with her husband, two little chihuahua rescues, and probably too many plants.

When she is not engrossed in balancing ledgers, Julia enjoys exploring the hidden gems of New Orleans with her husband, indulging their love for culinary adventures and live music, cheering on the New Orleans Pelicans, recording episodes of the podcast she co-hosts, and researching her family in hopes of having her Italian dual citizenship recognized.

With her exceptional bookkeeping skills and dedication to her clients, Julia continues to thrive as a professional, nurturing her home jungle, and savoring the vibrant essence of New Orleans.
